Tanikaze



DescriptionOn 9 June 1944 the Japanese destroyer was torpedoed and sunk by the USS Harder in Sibutu Passage, near Tawitawi, 90 nautical miles (170 km) southwest of Basilan. It was reported that 114 crew were killed and 126 survivors were rescued by Urakaze. Urakaze was sunk five months later by Sealion with all hands including several survivors from Tanikaze.
