DescriptionOn 18 February 1944 the Japanese cruiser Naka was sunk by allied aircraft near Truk Lagoon. Naka was hit by a torpedo along with a bomb in the third strike and broke in two. Some 240 crew were killed but patrol boats rescued 210 men.
