Empire Endurance

DescriptionOn 20 April 1941, while bound for Cape Town, South Africa and Alexandria, Egypt, the British cargo liner Empire Endurance was torpedoed and sunk by the German submarine U-73 south-east of Rockall in the North Atlantic. Of the passengers and crew 66 of the 95 people aboard were killed.
