Earl of Abergavenny



DescriptionOn 5 February 1805 the East Indiaman Earl of Abergavenny sank shortly after striking Shambles Bank near Portland Bill. Of the 402 people aboard 263 were lost, including her captain John Wordsworth Jr, brother of the poet William Wordsworth.
