DescriptionOn 25 September 1941, the British passenger ship was in Convoy HG 73 when U-203 torpedoed her in mid-Atlantic. Most of her 67 passengers were British refugees from the fall of France who had been denied leave to remain in neutral Spain and Portugal. 123 people were lost; 43 survived, including the Convoy Commodore.
